ROW 3: C. Heavilin, L. Nelson, E. Reich, T. Martin, D. Stringer, G. Martin, O. Boren, B. Ruge. The Athletic Council was set up to establish a fair and comprehensive award system. The system they developed is capable of increasing the athlete ' s performance level and the number of people who participate. The council ' s purpose after the system was established was to confirm and clear disciplinary actions recommended by the coach. The council is composed of two seniors, two juniors, one sophomore, and one fresh- man. There are also two girl representatives. One is elected from GAA and the other from Student Council. One of these girls must be a cheerleader. The Athletic Lettermen’s Club is an honorary club. Membership is open to all boys who earn a letter in any sport. FRONT: E. Martin, Mr. Spencer, C. Meska. The club consists of students who are concerned with making our library a more com- plete, competent one. Taking a trip to the Science and Industry Building in Chicago, sponsoring the Liberty Book Fair plus the Ice Cream machine were a few of the activities of the group.
