The initiation of the new members greatly increased the size of the Girls ' Athletic Association. The group had several play-nights and two point- nights. At one play-night, the girls were hostesses to the Jackson High School Girls ' Athletic Association. Throughout the year, the members enjoyed participating in the planned activities. - 28 -

Aft Club Last year the Art Club changed its constitution to allow more members into the organization. At the annual school carnival, the club sold many projects that were made by various members. Toward the end of the school year, the members worked with clay. Debate team The main activity of this group was the clinic at Purdue University. This included many fields such as debate, discussion, legislation, and extempo- raneous speaking. Many students participated in the activities while others ob- served the workings so that they might take part in the following years. Top row: Bonnie Hogan. In the Summer of 1962 the Lionettes had the oppor- tunity to perform at the State Fair. Also that sum- mer the group marched in various parades. During the school year they performed at all home basket- ball games. The Lionettes proved to be the finish- ing touch to our Marching Band. - 29 -
