At Christmas, the organization sponsored several activities, among them the Christmas dance, An Old Fashioned White Christmas with music by Bijon. Canned goods for the Hanover Christmas Mother were collected in homerooms the week before the holidays. Joining again with the Beta Club, the SCA spent the first night of the Christmas Holidays caroling in Ashland. After exams, in January, ninth grade superlatives were elected. A Student Govemment Day and A Fifties Days were repeated after their success last year, in early March. To close out the year the SCA sponsored the Spring Dance in April. SCA -2-I 53

It's members are tapped on scholarship, leadership and citizenship. Several activities sponsored were the Halloween Dance, Valentine Dance, Beta- SCA Ashland Clean-Up and the Liberty Jr. High School Clean-Up. Also, honor roll certificates are completed each six weeks by its members and new books were donated to the library. 55
