English Mlss SHEPHERD: The study of drama opens the world of the theater for the students. History of drama make-up play selec- ' n and staging are studied. MARJORIE SMITH: To gratify something within me, which I call a dramatic urge I enrolled in dramatics and found that the cour.e offered more than just stage grace-it has shown me how I might live gracefully. 'VIISS BERNHARD: In composition courses in work in literature we have planned for freedom of choice power to create and appreciate in the elective work of the senior year. For those unable to elect Senior English the teachers of the department hope the required English work has developed an increased capacity in oral and written expression as well as power and keener enjoyment in students future reading.
