THE LIBERTY TORCH We decided that me should visit the local hospital to see how things we re done and there much to our surprise we met Lorma Nonglett who was the head nurse fred headj We met bashful Pat Clark at he hospital too' she was special nurse to Roving Romeo Reich. QShe was mending Ted s broken hearty While walking down the hall we happen- a sheet hung over the bed,J Unfortunately We could not speak to Rita Terstriep either. She was too busy on her plantation growing banana peelings to put into a new perfume that has just been invented by the grea rest-archer Tick Denhouse, We we re also very unfortunate in not being able to talk to Mayne Woore who is over- seer of the great I-lickery Dickery Dock Manufacturing Company that rnanufactures cog wheels for baby Grandfather clocks. H S students The tr1p 1tself was very qu1ck We arrmx ed on Mars just 31 hght years after we left I..1berty Well Just look who s here to meet us Barry Lunte He s here to collect for our trtp and landlng He says that all these space sh1ps destroy the gases tn the a1r so we must pay for the use of them We were all rather hungry so we went to Dtlly Donna's Dtner for a short snack before traveltng on Donna was qulte busy taklng care of the lunch room and her fam1ly It seems Glenn her husband 1s quxte 1ll wtth a hang na1l on hms l1ttle toe After lunch we traveled to the department store to buy some warmer clothlng Guess whom we met there' Mrs Fale Dessler the former Darecella Kaltenbach She was busy buylng clothlng for her fam1ly of 12 We happened to see a poster outs1de the store and stopped to read It It was advert1s1ng a great fmght for the afternoon and we all dec1ded to attend It featured the Atlas and Mars formerly known as Lenneth Keapley He s to g1ve a demonstrauon wresthng match w1th a brlzzle Bare' On our way to the arena we met Donna Gr1ff1n She's now employed as an Amer1can Hlstory teacher ln one of the schools there Her name IS st1ll M1ss but we understand that wmth the next load of newcomers a certam boy from that 'You show 'em M1ssour1 w111 arrwe to change th1ngs As an added attractmon there was a short western stunt Who else but that r e a l Texas Ked Jack Burton and h1s wonder horse Nellxe ' After the show we dec1ded to go to conventxon held 1n the hotel down town By the way the hotel owner IS a former Lmberty lad and a former Warsaw lad Jon D1ngst by name It seems that he won the hotel tn a p1ng pong battle w1th a Mars man The conxentxon was of the order of the Real Gone G1rl1es ena1lE ffluddlesl Cutforth IS ln charge but we d1dn't recogmze any of the other mem bers The featured speaker of the afternoon was Cho1ce Chase She was tell1ng the g1rls about a new fashlon wear1ng green and red natl pohsh together a real Chmstmas fash1on 32 I vu I ' ' Il ' ' ' ' - 11 ll lv ' ' ' ' ' .
