Led by David Mnthrop, president,' Charisse Frazier, vice-presidentj Cheryl Richards, secretaryf Rob Brandt, treasurer Ksecond semesterjf Andrea Helecker, treasurer fhrst semesterjg and Mr. Ellrie Von Schopp and Mrs. Doreen Forlow, advisorsg the Class of 1982 had a busy hnal year. Starting with a third place hnish in the float competition at Homecoming to graduation under overcast skies, the seniors kept busy. At the start of their Hnal year the class treasury was at a low point and money was needed if the seniors were to have their traditional dance. Mth some outside advice and help from a substitute teacher the class sold over 250 Liberty Lion hats. Selling candy and mums helped the class put more bucks away and a highly successful Homecoming Dance swelled the treasury even more. , ,Q Mhth a theme of 'Sweet Dreams the Senior Ball was held in an un usual location. For the .Hrst time, the Turf Club at Golden Gate Held was utilized by a Liberty graduating class for the Senior Ball. VWth good food, a Df and a band, the seniors enjoyed the evening and everyone talked about how nice it was. Walking back through the other three years for the Class of '82 we End them as freshmen with Ruben Garcia, presidentf Kathy deFremery, secretary, Brent Cannon, vice-presidentg I ulie Winthrop, treasurerf and advisors Mr. Bob Baclig and Mrs. Sue Anderson. They sponsored a Valentine Dance and sold candy this Hrst year to raise money. As sophomores, they elected all girl ofhcers with Chris Boardman, presidentg Angie Gallegos, vice-president,- Kath y deFremery, secretaryj fanine Ornelas, treasurer, with Mrs. Barbara Brown as a new advisor with Mr. Baclig. They placed third in the float competition and joining with the Class of '81 sponsored the Soph Hopflunior Prom and elected Kathy deFremery and Luis Diaz queen and king respectfully. Sandy Secrest, presiden t,' lulie Mn throp, vice-presiden t,' Margarita Martinez, secretaryj Andrea Helecker, treasurerj were the ofhcers for the Class of '82 in their junior year. Mr. Schopp and Mrs. Forlow became new advisors committed to the idea that they would be with the class as advisors through graduation. The class sold pom- poms and MEMS and sponsored the Sadie Hawkins turnabout dance to raise money. They captured second place in the float competition during the Homecoming Parade. The Class of l 982 was guided by Terry Glenn, presidentj Alana Roderick, vice-president, Diane Kruger, secretary, Yvonne Branscum, treasurery and Mrs. feannie Glenn and Mr. ferry Black, advisors. The juniors had several successful candy sales and won second place in the float competition at Homecoming as well as winning the Spirit Trophy. They also sold balloons at football games to raise money. Led by second time president, Aimee Vasta, the Sophomore Class had a very successful year. For fund raisers the class sold 200 cases of candy, almost 250 flowers on Homecoming Day, hosted several bake raffles at basketball games, sponsored the Sadie Hawkins Dance and held a car wash. Assisted by Manette foksch, vice-president, Lisa deFremery, secretaryj Shelly St. fohn, treasurerf and advisors, Mr. Bill Batze and Mrs. Sue Churchill freplaced Mrs. lean Noble in Novemberjg the sophomores won the Homecoming float competition for the second straight year. ln the spring, the classes of '83 and '84 co-sponsored the highly successful Soph Hopffunior Prom where Mke Mller and Shelly St. fohn were crowned king and queen. Starting their Hrst year at Liberty the Class of 1985 were led by Patrick Grimes, president,' Kina Gray, vice- presidentf Carla Lorenzetti, secretaryg Gina Andronica, treasurerj and advisors, Mrs. Chris Weber and Mr. Bruce Campion. The class had a candy sale and car wash to help raise money. WALK WITH US THROUGH the classes and their many different moods.
