'iso 42 s f Group Counseling Starts This year a new project was started in the counseling department. En- titled Group Counseling , it was headed by Mr. Henry Raming and was aided by Mrs. June Drake, school psychologist. The main purposes of group coun- seling are to talk about common concerns or problems, express feel- ings in a small group, and to help students to understand each other. Some of the regular duties of the counselors this year were handling transfers, arranging and discussing classes with students, having con- ferences with students' parents, and helping students with their many social and school problems. Candy stripers were formed this year by the school nurse, Mrs. Bar- bara Bonnickson. Groups were started in September and January. School psychologist, Mrs. Drake, was busy talking with parents and students about many home, family, and social problems. M 5?
