Superintendent Works For Tax Increase Election Approval of a 25 cent tax election was just one of the many things at- tributed to Superintendent Wayne Boulding's efforts this year. Working with honor roll students, Mr. Bould- ing had lists of students parents made so they could be advised on the im- portance of the election. Establishing closer communication between parents and the school was also achieved. Through the Parents' Club, meetings, and Coffee Klatches parents have been able to understand what is happening at the school. Mr. Boulding also had the dif- ficult task of completing a curricu- lum review started two years ago. I-Ie has attended the Univer- sity for the past two years. Mr. Boulding attended various workshops and professional devel- opment programs as school admin- istrator. ' i-.X f tx Board Approves Construction Of Press Booth As the backbone of LUHS the Board of Trustees met on the second and fourth Thursday of each month to discuss and decide on school plans. This year the board accepted vari- ous proposals, such as the construc- ting of the press booth and the school's water well. A student representative attended the meetings in order that the board know and understand various ideas and opinions of the student body. Members of the Board and the Su- perintendent attended the Annual joint Conference held this year in San Diego from December 5 through 8. There they discussed current prob- lems and proposals of the state. Koffee Klatchesn were established at the beginning of the year as groups of parents and administrators met in different homes where discussions were held so parents could become more informed about school. Principal Lou Bronzan and Vice- principal Vernon Noble were kept busy attending Road Shows or meetings where the administrators could be kept up to date on new Y I , 4- - O --H--W-A --A- h . -..h....... developments in education. Mr. William Snow was the co- ordinator of Federal Projects, along with also being in charge of this years' Adult Evening Program.
