Carl Schwertfeger to the students in his pre-calculus class 51 Pupils Enroll In Math ourses Mathematical accuracy, necessary in everyday living, was taught in courses of general math, Algebra I and II, geometry, and pre-calculus. Acquiring basic fundamentals and usage of math were goals of those enrolled in general math. Geometry students solved theorems through proofs which had specific reasons for each step. Relations and functions of numbers played an important part of solving problems in algebra and pre-calculus courses, the more advanced studies of mathematics. Learning to use the slide rule.
