S.. i Because ofthe importance of farming in the surrounding Brentwood area, the agriculture department at Liberty has been greatly developed. With access to a full one and one-fourth acres of land and two new greenhouses, the department has been able to place more emphasis on actual field training. Maxine Ames receives Drafting machine instruction from Mr. Forlow. -UA Transplanting landscape shrubs are Bert Durnmer and Mark Massoni. Drafting Utilizes New Equipment To keep up with the progress in modern industry, the drafting department has presented a pro- gram encouraging the use of modern drafting equipment. Girls have been welcomed into this department because of the new trend for female labor in industry. Besides the Mechanical Drawing I and Il classes, there were also two classes offered in Archi- tectural Drawing. These courses have been found to be a good background for varying oc- cupations such as drafting. interior decorating and engineering.
