Encompassed in the World of English at Liberty lies varied subjects from public speaking to journalism . Oral and written expression as well as appreciation for the literary arts are gained and enriched through these classes In their three years of English students receive an insight in- 2 to the lives of numerous ac- complished authors and their outstanding works . Mathematics has fascinated man since his early history. and still puzzles and intrigues the human mind. Since the stress on this mbject has become greater with the passing years, Liberty has developed a well rounded program designed to fit the future. The mathematics teachers have conveyed their knowledge of basic mathematics. Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Trigonometry to the students. with added instruction for those who need further help. Because of the interest shown in these courses, the mathematics depart- ment has added a new instructor, Mr. Ronald DenUyl, who teaches Algebra I and II. I8
