STUDENT COURT STUDENT GOVERNMENT ,I The Student Council, which is the legislative body of the associated Students, makes laws and passes acts to govern the student body and its activities. The Student Council is composed of the executive offi- cers, the commissioners, presidents of the classes and organizations, and the class representative. Advisor Miss Van Tassel LATIN CLUB Latin Club had a successful coke sale the first football game of the season. On November 29, we had a good turn out for the Latin Club banquet, a costume dinner party. During the middle of the year we had our annual trip, and on March 18, we participated in the Junior Classical League Convention. At the end of the school year we had our Latin Club picnic. One of the purposes of the Future Farmers of America is to participate in worthy undertakings for the improvement of agriculture. The Brentwood Chapter seeks to accomplish this objec- tive by participating in Fairs and judging contests. By taking their animals, crops and farm mechanic projects to a competitive show they hope to learn the importance of high quality agricultural products. The local chapter sponsors a Judging Contest each year for the Future Farm- ers of Central California. At the beginning of the school year, new officers for the C.S.F. were chosen. During the year, C.S.F. has been engaged in semester trips, a dance, and also an annual carnival. In Septem- ber of last year, C.S.F. members sold annual pictures in the student center.
