mica Pza They briefed me on the latest gossip. lt seems J. C. THOMPSON has a new TV program in Pasadena called Love Me or Leave Me! . QFunny, but the population has decreased 50 per cent there.j His guest stars of the month were those famous bop and Hawaiian dance artists, HELEN RUBIO and BETTY HOESER. VIVIAN PLANCHAN is running the Venus Club on the planet Venus. GLEN STOLHAND and GERRY WARREN are her entertainers, but they have to wear barrels. Won't they ever learn two pairs don't beat a full house? Working as gum tasters in OMEGA NUNN's and LENAIE BORDEWlCK's gum factory are FRANCES GARCIA, BARBARA MILLER, HELEN BARBEE and NORMA SALCIDO. JACK GERARD and MEL MIKKELSON put the wrappers on the gum, and GERRY ROBINSON and TONY GONZALES are salesmen. Other successful factory workers are DON DAVIS, JERRY TERRY, DON BUTLER, and ROY CANNON. They work in a pickle pigs feet factory near Hollywood. They run the pigs' feet through the pickle iuice. We stopped talking long enough to listen to CARL CROSS, famous news analyst, report the news of the day. LAWRENCE DYCKMAN, DON CHOATE, FRANK and ADRIAN TIPTON and BOB WALKER, all of Earth, are heroes in Slum Alley. They ran all the rats out by making it rain cats and dogs. CHRIS CHAVEZ is running for president of the Cleaner Clothes for Babies Society. His campaign slogan is lt's time for a change. JEANNETTE SANCHEZ is running for vice president. JARRETT JOHNSON, the roving missionary, is reportedly on Saturn trying to convert the space men to JARRETTRISM, the latest religion. The world is agog over the romance between Alley Khant and ALICE PHILLIPS. It looks serious. We turned to station R-O-T to hear Norma Webb play Jack Webb's daughter on Dragnet. MIKE DEVINE plays the net. They say he drags better than anyone on TV. The police are trying to discover who has been stealing mongrels from Dog Catcher MARYANN MYERS. The principal suspects, ELAINE ANDERSON and JOHN HENRY, have a very profitable hot dog stand across the street. Their new theme song is the recording of the laughs of PETRA LEWIS, SALLY BURNHAM, CAROLEE DE FREMERY, and JUANITA GILL. It ran Spike Jones out of business and is more popular on the Hitless Parade than June in Portugal, recorded by LINDA FERNANDEZ and written by JUNE REYNOLDS. Immediately following Dragnet is NANCY COOPER, the famous childrert's story teller, telling about Peter Rabbit and the long-eared, pink-toed Woofus. Don't miss it-Children cry for it! We landed safely at Mars and registered at the Wholey Hotel run by BARBARA MORRIS and JUNIOR DOMINGO. CHESTER COMBES is the doorman, and JERRY McCORD is the chief chambermaid. Until the next time Qif you're unluckyj I remain Yours ICKYXLSIELDD PSICYKYJRWC Cbut you can call me ICKYD

eadafz Fw June I2, 1964 Dear John, I was coming back from my adventures in Africa, after spending IO years on Safari, when I had to stop my iet-propelled ship The Little Mo so I wouldn't run over some channel swimmers. They were Frank QChadwickj Graves and Hal CEsther Williamsj McClure. Glen Daley was rowing the boat but got tired of rowing and used an egg beater instead. I stopped by Hollywood and attended the Ostrich Hot Rod Races. Robert Slatten was in the lead, and Carl Straub was gaining on him. Both of them were riding souped-up ostriches with trimmed feathers, cut-off toenails and ambignons who were lowered in the rear. Wh-ile in Hollywood I walked down Movie House Row. I stopped to attend the World Premiere of 4-E. C3-D has been long gonely The feature was Gentle- men Prefer Brunettes starring RAMONA SILVA and co-starring lovable LOUIE VASQUEZ, who is the greatest rage since Rudolph Valentino. Its rival theater, The Delta Ritze, was showing VINCENT TEJADA and PAT CGrablej HARRIS in Gone with the Smog. I had my shoes shined and bought a paper at Benny Long's Negro Shoe- shine and Dye Job Shop. It was the only 3-B newspaper in town, BEV BETTEN- COURT'S Blabber. Her chief reporters were ALLENE HAMPTON, LORAINE AUGUST, BARBARA CARNEY, and MARTHA GIBSON. The headlines stated that PETER MARTINEZ turns down the remake of Mighty Joe Young to play in The Frank Sinatra Story. Another item of national interest was that Emi Okamato, Head Nurse at the Brentwood Dispensary, has been selected America's most beautiful nurse by the International Correspondence School of America, headed by PATSY COFFMAN. As a prize she was awarded a seal, trained to fill hot water bottles. I read in SHIRLEY QHeddyj PATO's column that Warner Bros. was bought out by the Tarango Bros. As the song says, it always takes two ta rango. Her latest exclusive is Jacquie Mundell, the second Jane Russell, and Jacque Moore will play opposite that torrid new lover Barney Dryden in The In-Law and Which Jacque Has Barney? Robert Thomas is in charge of the M.G.M. Gym for building up male movie stars. He uses KIT CARPENTER as his prize model. The last exclusive was that JOAN SCOBE, who owns half the theaters in town, is financing HAROLD REED, the blond Tony Curtis, in the new picture Flesh and Phooy. ORA GRAHAM plays his double and SONNY MARTIN is the producer. I always knew that JOHN SPANGER would play in a well known band. I saw him leading the Salvation Army Band on the corner of Hollywood and Vine. Other familiar faces in it were RONNIE SCALES, and CHARLES and EUGENE KRETSCHMER. TONY MIGUEL was playing drums. Man! He's the coolest drum player since Harry James! I stopped in at the Flying Saucer Agency, and the manager, JOE BEAVER, sold me the 1964 model of the Cup and Saucer. His head mechanics are MELVIN FOREHAND, ALAN BUSKY, and FRANK SOUZA. His private secretary, DAWN ALLEN, told me that NEALE WATSON still has his old-fashioned saucerless carriage. With the help of BOB ANDERSON, WILMA LITTLE, and BOB GARCIA, he can push it uphill. Driving down the street, I met YVONNE BANIUM and CAROLE BOYER, and asked them if they would like to accompany me to Mars to do some really out-of-this-world shopping.
