DEDTIQ TTU Because of the cooperation shown by Mrs. Jennings and Mr. Farr. many of our school activities have been a success. Not only have they aided us in their capacity as teachers, but also as friends. Through their guidance we have learned to appreciate the beauty of art and music, as well as the joy of living. The patience, sympathy, and understanding dis- played by them has been deeply appreciated by us. and to show our gratitude we dedicate this annual to them. EULTY TOP ROW-B. J. csv' -L Xoor 1 Our Senior class of '45 started their last year at Liberty by sponsoring a Freshmen Week. The Freshmen were shown every consideration-for that week. anyway. The Freshmen Reception concluded the 'Aget acquainted week. We sponsored a dance after the Amador football game: among other things, the ingenious decorations centered on a large football with the A and B teams' names on it. On the next page a more detailed account of our activities is given. The first event that the Junior class undertook was a Halloween Dance in October. Everyone enjoyed himself. A book of school, yells and songs was written by the class for use at school games and rallies. The songs were sung in the auditorium. with the accompani- ment of the band, before the games. April found the Juniors working hard in preparing their Junior Prom. Their dance was appropriately decorated with a Mystic Under Sea Land as the theme. The Sophomore class gave a sport dance after one of the football games and a coke raffle at the regular Thursday Bond Dance. This was to raise money for the annual Sophomore Hop. The Hop was a great success with its Old Fashioned Garden theme. A wishing well was provided in the center of the auditorium for wishful thinkers. The class of '48 spent its first year in high school getting adjusted to their surroundings and becoming acquainted with the upper classmen. It was found that this Freshman class was the biggest that has been enrolled in recent years. Their only contribution to school entertainment was a record dance on May 4, a well-attended affair with plenty of fun for all. . ' 5
