s gys sa.. Our football team showed much improvement this year, both in the length of the schedule which was played and in the spirit of the squad itself. Our boys won one and tied one game. Mel Clark, George Del Pozo, and Al Aragon made the three touchdowns for the year, a total of one apiece. This is not an impressive accomplishment on paper, but it represents a step forward with definite promise for next year. The basketball teams have improved greatly over last year's, despite the fact that there were a number of inexperiencd players on the Varsity and B teams. The schedule was much larger than last year. The Varsity won three games and the B team won five. This gave the B's a tie for championship with San Ramon. An attempt was made to set up a baseball team for the season. but it was impossible to schedule any outside games. There were only a few practice games played at home. The track team was not able to get much of a start this year, since no meets could be arranged with other schools. There was some intramural ac- tivity. Under the direction and with the help of Miss Geddis, the girls' gym classes have been having a lot of fun. Besides playing the regular games of baseball, basketball, and volley ball, they have been having individual sports, such as: tennis, archery, and badminton. 25 V
