,Tl IIT! The Student Affairs is the governing element of the Student Body. Its membership consists of the presidents of the classes, organizations, and clubs as well as a representative of each class. The Judiciary Committee is the governing body for the merit system. It acts in a judicial and advisory capacity. The California Scholarship Federation. as their main event. visited the College of Pacific to take a look at college life. The War Bond sales were under the direction of Miss Taylor and Billie Dill. An ambulance and other equipment were purchased through their efforts. The Block L had their usual meetings, a sponsored dance, and a super initiation of new members to which the G.A.A. was invited. The Rifle Club placed 13th in the nation wide Postal Matches. The club also had several meets with other schools and organizations. The Cadet Corps spent its year learning army drill and routine. Six cadet members participated in the state cadet encampment at Sacramento. The Girls' League sponsored monthly noon motion pictures. Their main activity was the Mothers' Tea on May 4. The G. A. A. supervised by Miss Geddis has been very active, sponsoring basketball. baseball, tennis, etc. as part of the noon entertainment program. The Home Econ girls sponsored noon milk sales, conducted dancing classes, gave an Initiation Party for new members and a I-lallowe'en Party for the F. P. A. Growing Pains played to a S.R.O. and enthusiastic audience. Even Shellenbergers' dog as a member of the cast was a great success. ' The Dramatics Club, in addtion to its weekly meetings for discussion of plays and dramatics, has produced several one-act plays. The Art Department has designed and produced most of the dance decora- tions, the Student Body play set and a Public Schools Week art exhibit. The F. P. A. had a very active year with their Barn Dance and Hobo Dance, topped by the very well organized annual Field Day and rodeo on May 26. The Photo Club had as its main project the taking of all school activities including flash pictures of night dances and sports for the Annual. The Foods Department prepared many line meals for various organiza- tions. Their supreme effort was the War Memorial Dinner featuring Sam Hayes. The Music Department participated in sport events, programs and as- semblies. Their most ambitious performance was the annual Spring Concert. 15
