Eat your heart out Julius Baby! Modeling popular fads of the 50's. Anticipation filled the air as we anx- iously awaited the arrival of Spirit Week. Monday was celebrated with students dressed as nerds, Hawaiians, or better yet Hawaiian nerds! The halls were silent on Tuesday for Election Day. On Wednesday, Hush Day, the sophomores had a little trouble keep- ing quiet, while most of the students dressed in '50s attire. The halls of Liber- ty were turned into a Roman Empire on Thursday as students turned out in to- gas of all shapes and sizes. Enthusiasm rang through the halls on Friday as sophomores, dressed in white, sang to the seniors' demands. Juniors were dressed in blue and the color of au- thority was red, which was worn by the seniors. The week ended with a thuse Friday afternoon to excite the crowd and show support for the team as they headed for the homecoming game. Seniors bring in a new look for 1986. So, look out Pee Wee, here we come. Heading the sophomore chickens, Robbie and Cary sing the fight song. Faculty joined in on skits Friday afternoon. 11

Homecoming ceremonies for 1986 took place at Hite Field November 8 during half- time. The nickname, “The Mud Bowl fit so well that escorting Corvettes for the court were canceled and the crowning took place on the sidelines. Miss Barbi Marano was crowned Homecoming Queen by President of the Student Body, Marty Davis. Serving as minor court were Jeremy Hinesman, crown bearer, and Regina Phillips, flower girl. Chanda McCracken was pre- sent to end her reign as 1985 Queen and recognize the new court. 13
