Down Hill Skiing This year's alpine ski ream con- sisted of 21 members The girls' ream was led by captains Margie Morris and Eileen Miller and rhe boys ream was headed by senior David Katz and sophomore Michael KI u g m a n. He walked to me and asked me to ski— We say Stevie! ere (sung to the tune of Lola ') These were some of the sounds heard from the Liberty Cross-Country ski reom Although a relatively new sport Cross Coun- try Skiing has definitely gained popularity over the years This yeor the reom hod on excep- tionally large membership What was lock- ing however was snow! During some races, the reom hod to shovel snow onto the rroils to moke a porh of one foot in width, stretching for three miles into the woods Practices were held at the golf course Hanofee Pork and behind the high school Cross ounrry Ski- ing seniors were Wayne VonVIeer.
