Regents Scholarship Winners Row 1 - Robin Rosen. Lori Cohen. Herbert Grund, Glenn Powell. Michael Schwartz, Cindy Unger, Deborah DiLorenzo. Row 2 - James Dzu- rica, John Dzurica. Row 4 - Keith Menges, Tim Stuart, Philip Emden, Larry Bergus, Jonathan Kalina, Michael Myers. Missing - Marion Boyd, Michael Kiang and Jason Wach. From the results of the recent Regents Scholarship Exam some interesting conclusions can be drawn. Out of the total seventy $250 a year awards allocated to Sullivan County, twenty one were won by Liberty High School students with seven alternates. While producing the most winners and alternates, Liberty also easily outdis- tanced its neighborhood competitors. For example, Monticello and Fallsburgh combined only managed to come up with twenty two winners and ten alternates. Looking at the top scorers in the county, Liberty’s Michael Myers with a 257 out of a possible 300 placed fifth overall. The Regents Scholarship Exam probably proved to the rest of the county that we knew here at Liberty all along that being that our school is indeed of superior academic quality in relation to other local school systems. by Peter Harrison u
