We lost two during the course of the year. At our first meeting We elected class officers. They were: Harry Myles, presi- dentg George Eckenrode, vice presidentg Elnora. Saneholtz, secretaryg Lucille Sweinhagen, treasurer, and Fern Knapp, news reporter. Later we elected our student council members. They were Arlene McCabe and Russell McMaster. Mary Lou Connolly represented our class at the home- coming game and dance. Lucille Sweinhagen and George Eckenrode were our representatives for king and queen at the carnival. They were: Wardie Hogrefe, president: J ack Krueger, vice presidentg Alice Myles, secretaryg Kenneth Kniss, treasurer, and James Cannon, news reporter. Later our student council members, Marilyn Durham and Kenneth Bowers. The freshman class was very active in extra-curricular activities. Our class was happy to have an attendant for the crowning of the football queen, Dorothy Lindemire. We also had candidates .for carnival king and queen, Kenneth Bowers and Sue Baker. Along with glee clubs, choir and other musical groups We contributed five members to senior band and also four members to our junior band. FPESHNEN 27
