9 E . Mary Roe teaches music, art, and band to the students of Liberty Center. She attended Manchester College, Ball State and Miami University. She has attained her B.P.S.M. degree. Neil Roe is teaching the seventh graders some new problems in arith- metic. He teaches the seventh and eighth grades. He attended DePauw Univer- sity, State Normal and Terre Haute. N l . Mrs. Cingerick is kept very busy with the second grade. Here she is teaching her students to read and spell. She attended Ball State and Manchester Colleges.

Mrs. Rittenhouse finds that a reading circle is a great help to the first grad- ers. She attended Salem College and Glenville Colleges in West Virginia. Mrs. Rittenhouse received her B.S. de- gree from Marion College. i is 4 1 A.4j v e Q Leah Smith. the fourth and fifth grade teacher. is teaching her students fractions. She went to Ball State. but received her B.S. degree from Marion College. - Here the agriculture boys seem quite interested in learning how to test soil. under Mr. Haules guidance. ln addition to teaching agriculture. he teaches chemistry. Mr. Hank attended Ball State and received his B.S. degree from Pur- due University where he majored in vocational agriculture. chemistry and biology. 4,6

This picture finds Miss Smith teach- ing biology. This is only one of the three subjects she teaches the other two being home economics and English. Miss Smith has her AB. degree which she received from the college at lie- fiance. Ohio. She majored in vocational home economics and English. Miss Smith did further studying at Ames College. fl ,. ,el is i5 5 x xl Language is the subject Mrs. Johnson is teaching her pupils in this picture. She teaches the third grade. She at- tended Indiana University. Citrus Jr. College. and Marion College. Mrs. John- son has her B.S. degree. lmii .ff ,. '34, - Q- rs. -i -J- -I L 0 Mr. Halmess is teaching shorthand in this scene. His other subjects in- clude boys, health. seventh grade health and geography, commercial arithmetic and typing. Coaching the baseball and basketball teams make up another one of his jobs. Mr. Halmess graduated from Moorhead State College in Ken- tucky. He has his AB. degree.
