Soon after this the class ordered their class rings before Christmas and they arrived january li, 1954. Everyone was pleased with the bargain they got from the Balfour Ring Company. The class had L1 weiner roast at the State Forest in October and also held their annual Christmas exchange at the school. They began to make money for their senior trip by having a scrap drive on October 12, 1955. They all worked gathering it and ate their dinner together at noon. The scrap was left at Pete Cole's house until it was sold at Bluffton for 540.33 Following this they held a bake sale at Thomas making a profit of 550.011 This class is approaching their goal as every other class at Liberty has done in the past few years. , . hd! :MP id' I - ' ligne vb - -A-Va--.tg - qfsrff fix.. New subjects such as Biology and Algebra were taken for the first time. Miss Grace Smith was the class sponsor who took them on their first high school party at the State Forest. They tried hard, but failed to break into the victor's column until about the middle of the season, when they won a decisive victory over the LaFayette Cen- tral team. The team showed a noticeable improvement in skill from the beginning of the season, and have accomplished quite a lot although they didn't have so good a win and loss record.
