SOFTBALL TEAM HAS WINNING SEASON Liberty opened the season with a victory over Petroleum, and dropped the next three games to Ossian, jackson, and Union. Liberty finished the season with a three game winning streak, winning over Rockcreek, Chester, and Lancaster. The four victories out of seven games gave the Lions a .574 percentage. The team hitting a creditable .308 was led by jim Lewis who had a .454 percentage.

We On November 4, 1952, it was election day all over the United States: and the senior government class held a mock election on that date at the high school to help teach the students the value of intelligent voting. Some of the seniors were in charge of making ballots, some had the responsibility of registering all those who wanted to take part. Everyone who wanted to vote had to be registered by October 31. Voting began at 11:30 A.M. and was held in voting booths on the stage. Members of the senior class counted the ballots, and at 2:30 P.M., the election board listed their returns: Ike, by a landslide.
