Sophomore Class Histor In September, 1938, thirty-eight happy-go-lucky boys and girls entered the Freshmen Class. We were duly initiated into the school by a court of truth before which we were forced to tell many deep, dark secrets. Miss Walker was our sponsor and Norma Jean Markley was elected President, Dean Moore, Vice President, and Patricia Tappy, Secretary-Treasurer. During the year We had two parties in the gym which we enjoyed very much. In September, 1939, We resumed our studies as Sophomores and found that we had lost two members. Miss Walker is still our sponsor. Jim Schneider was elected President, Dean Moore, Vice President, and Norma Cole, Secretary-Treasurer. Top Row-Class Officers, Lester Burkhart, Ray Clark. We had many good times the first given years keeping peace with everybody. When we were Freshmen, the Seniors gave us the 'tdirtiest initiation with coal soot. During all this time pupils were being added and subtracted until we have seventeen in our Junior Class at the present. Cne of our biggest thrills was presenting our Junior Class play entitled, 'KAunt Tillie Goes to Town. Another big thrill was getting our class rings with which every one was satisfied. A let of hard work and another thrill was in giving the Junior- Senior reception. We hope our Senior year will be as exciting as our Junior year has been. Page Fourteen

Freshman Class Hislory In the fall of 1930, sobbing, laughing, and bashful little children entered the first grade room of the Liberty Center School. At first there were many who didn't like school, but soon found out that they could have a lot of fun. The class had a few coming in and mov- ing out through the first eight years. The year in which we entered the seventh grade was the most exciting year. We were allowed two class parties, and elected our class officers. One thing which the Junior High was proud of was the Junior High Basketball Team which beat every Junior High team in the county. When Freshmen, the first thing that anyone thinks about is the initiation We were initiated by being blindfolded and then having to feed our neighbor a banana. Although there were many mussy faces we had a lot of fun, and hope to do the very best we can. Page Sixteen
