Mitchell Brent Allen Myers A Mark D- Schweitzer Scott Levi Shackelford sf w .K if M fl wg: 1 'Exim I Z' . , s 5 Mm Seniors Forced To Accept New Rules The 1985 school year brought about many new rules that the student body was requtred to follow Out of everyone though the Class of 1985 felt the new rules affected them the most The Ohto Department of Educatton began enforc mg strict rules which affected school ltfe and student attttudes One of these rules stated that we would not be able to graduate early as tn past years We were requtred to go the full 180 days Fog delays also be came a btg tssue thts year If we delay for more than one hour on a certam day we would have to butld those hours up 1010 a full day, and make tt up at the end ofthe year If that wasn t enough exams thts year were requtred to change also We the students were not allowed to lea ve the school 1f we didn t ha ve an exam, mstead we were supposed to remam tn the class and be taught something Ltberty Benton school poltctes also changed We tn the Multi Purpose room The lobby has always been a Senior Hangout not thzs year though The teach ers complained because there was too much noise bemg made tn the lobby m past years, so we were told no one would be able to szt there We realtze that these rules were necessary We also hope that the teachers understand why we were upset wtth the new poltctes To be a Sentor has always meant extra prtvtleges and to have just a btt more freedom tn school When all these rules were en forced, we felt ltke we wouldn t be able to enjoy the year After we calmed down though we realtzed we could st1ll enjoy our sentoryear and the meanmg ofthe word Sentor 1 7 Y n , , I ' I 1 . , . . weren 't allowed to eat in the cafeteriag instead, we ate ff ' 77 I ' 7 ' - ' 9
