The boys worked very rd all summer to achieve their goal, to be undefeated. though we were beaten once and placed second in the anchard Valley Conference, it was a very good year. We pe to go all the way in 74 . e would like to thank the assistant coaches and the man- ers for all their time. Also, the athletic boosters for eir support. We have a Football team that will fight for all they can get. Dave Cramer was 2nd team Linebacker and I-ialfback in the B.V.C. I-le has been a real asset to our team. Bruce McCartney was lst team Offensive tackle in the B.V. C. He helped our backs when things got tough. We always like to help out the Refs when we can. Bart Reneau was 1st team Quarterback in the B.V. C. and has helped out our team a great deal. herplayers on B. V. Eagle Track 1974 The 1974 Varsity track team worked very hard and did a good job. Much enthusiasum was carried over from our championship in 1973. We wanted to do it again! The team was strong, but lacked some of the in- dividual strength of the previous year. We, as stu- dents are very proud of our track team and will continue to give them our support. We will be ex- pecting alot from them now that they have been personally inspired by Dave Wottle at the track banquet. A special thanks to Coach Darnall, for his hard work and dedication. Student Faculty Assembly The Liberty-Benton Student Council presented an assembly in April sponsoring a singing group called Under New Management. The group consisted of five males and two females not only at- tracted the attention of many of the studentg but some of the teachers as well. These young men and women took time off of their college career to travel all over the country singing and telling about their experience with Jesus Christ. The students and faculty were very well pleased with their performance and hope to have more assemblies like this in the future. Although the Seniors put up a good fight to the finish, the juniors seemed to have a little more energy to pull it through. But of course the Seniors had to practice that morning for their graduation, so by the time aftemoon came, they were very tired . . . and weak . . . The many different sports provided were: baseball, disc throwing, high jump, broad jump, 50 yard dash Qwomenj, 100 yard dash fmenj, and the high jump. Afterwards refreshments and food was served in the cafeteria. Thanks to all the teachers who helped in anyway to make junior- Senior Day what it turned out to be. It's intangible. And its value depends on how much of yourself you're willing to put into it. In a consumer oriented economy, where conspicuous consumption is the norm, a college education may not glitter. But undemeath the surface it may be pure gold.- Findlay College is now in its 90th year, offering young people a liberal arts education. In all honesty, it's something that won't wear out. He came to live with the Tom Huff- man family for 4 months. Upon his arrival at Liberty in February Hugo immediately drew the interest and friendship of the students and faculty. Hugo's main hobby is drawing. He is a fantastic artist and before leaving to go back home, he drew and painted a picture to go into the home of jerry Swisher. Indeed like Cibele, Hugo brought great inspira- tion and adoration from the high school at Liberty-Benton. Hugo left Ohio to go back home the last part of june. Cibele Ponte came as a foreign exchange student in March of this year to live with the Kenneth Dysert family. She had previously been with a foster family in Barnsville, Ohio, so she was accustomed to some of the American ways before coming to Liberty. Cibele is originally from Brazille. She has one brother and two sisters. Cibele favorite past.. time is swimming and playing tennis. While living with the Dysert family, she visited many interesting places such as Cedar Point, Canada fSenior class tripj, Niagara Falls, and Toledo Zoo. She brought a great inspiration not only to the Senior class but to the whole high school as well. Cibele left to go back home july 2, 1974, where she was united with her family.
