After we were officially initiated into high school we started saving towards our senior trip by collecting tax stamps. We started our Sophomore year by adding Jo Ann Schumacker, Janis Schimmoeller, Larry Anders, Jackie Hemstedg and losing Barbara Bumgarner. Later in the year we lost Myra Ernest, who moved to California. Under the direction of Mr. Shull, our sponsor, we again collected tax stamps. David Dukes joined us in March During our Junior year Mr. King served as our sponsor. ln order to make money for our class trip we sold Christmas cards and magazines. Under the direction of Mr. Raymond George we produced our first dramatic venture entitles, Boarding House Reach. His help at the game concessions is also deeply appreciated. Our class had the honor of having the first prom in the new gym. It truly was an Enchanted Evening. We con- sidered Junior-Senior Day a great success, an opinion not shared by the seniors. During this year we lost Jackie Hemsted and Larry Anders. We started our Senior year knowing that it would be a busy one. We sold peanut brittle, sponsored the Homecoming dinner and dance, managed the candy store and concessions for football games, presented the Senior play and served a number of dinners to earn money for our class trip. We entered the grand finale with two acts, Baccalaureate on May 21st, and graduation on May 27th. Between acts entertainment was our well- deserved and long-awaited trip to Washington and New York.
