CLASS PROPHECY One cold, winter night in December, 1960, I was driving along an old country road when I came upon an old lady who was walking along carrying a large bundle. Being the gentle- man l was, I stopped and offered to drive her to her destination. She accepted the offer and said that she must repay me or do something in retum. I could see by the way she was dressed that she didn't have much money, so I promptly said that maybe someday she might be able to do something for me. As we talked she told me that she possessed mystic powers which enabled her to see into distant places. The idea then dawned on me that she could tell me what the students of the class of '55 of Liberty-Benton High. School were doing now that they were out of school. When I mentioned the idea to her, she opened her bundle and took out an odd-shaped object which looked like a small, shiny mirror. As she gazed in- to the mirror, she told me that this is what sbe saw: Nina Dukes is working in Chicago as a wrestling instructor and president of the Rough and Ready Rassling Wrestlers, Inc. She used to be U. S. champ. Barbara Beucler is one of the most famous women in the history of auto races. She is champion driver of The Women Race Drivers of America. Rex Siferd is the owner and foreman of a large cattle ranch in Texas. Wayne Hoenicke is a happy and contented husband and father. He has five children. Barbara Cramner is the captain of the Women's Basketball Association of America. Her team has been a champion team for the last five years. Marilyn Flickinger is the dean of a nursing school in Califomia. , Bill Fry is in Florida operating a root beer stand. He has become very wealthy with all his business investments. Earl Edmister is still in Findlay operating a large general store. He is really giving the Country Market quite a time with competition. Myron Heidlebaugh is one of the most famous persons of our time. He is an admiral in the United States Navy. Jonny Saums is a happy husband to Nancy Williamson. While Nancy runs a day nur- sery in their home, Jonny works coaching football for Ohio State University. I might add that they have quite an addition of their own in their nursery, an even number of five child- ren to be exact. Norman Shank is in far off Africa on an expedition. He is a famed archaeologist. Dig- ging up tombs for scientific observation and that sort of work. Barney Heidlebaugh is now President of the Board of Directors of one of the most successful industries in the west, a milk-testing firm! Harold Williamson is the owner of three large farms in southwestem Ohio. Lora Williamson is the home economics teacher in a large high school in Montana. She seems to get along just fine with the students, too. Merle Butler has gone into the same line of business as Pete. He has several farms and country homes for sale and for rent. So if you need a home see Merle. He is living in In- diana now, by the way. Doris Wells is private secretary tp the president of a large New York firm. She seems to be making out quite well with her boss. And I mean in more ways than one! Jack Wells has made quite a name for himself in the United States Air Force. He is a general, by the way, and he enjoys his work very much. Orville Clymer is now in politics. He is running for Representative to the House come next election year. Nancy Tyson is very busy lately, bringing something new into the sports world. She is organizing a group of lady boxers . I hear they are terribly rough and oh So nice looking too! Donna Knepper has settled down and is now taking good care of her nice little family consisting of her hard-working husband and two little tots. One boy and one girlg Bob Arnold is in business school in Tiffin, and he seems to be doing very well for himself. Pat Marshall is a famous women's clothes designer and sole owner of The Tight Sweaters and Skirts Corporation in New York. Gene LaRoche, as we all know, is now a member of the President's cabinet. He is the Secretary of Agriculture.
