Junior Class History They started out in their Freshman year with an enrollment of thirty- one, seven of which were from Benton. Mrs. Gongwer was their home room sponsor. Their officers were as follows: President, Maurice Bosseg Vice- President, James Montgomery, Secretary, Verdette Cornptong Treasurer, Janet Ferrell: Student Council Members, Frances Watkins and Jerry Swisher. Their Sophomore year Mr. Howard was the home room sponsor. For that year they chose the following officers: President, Maurice Bosseg Vice- President, James Montgomery: Secretary, Janet Ferrellg Treasurer, Mary Jane Lightg Student Council Members, Shirley Strait and Jerry Swisher. This year Mrs. Gongwer was once again their home room sponsor. They chose the following members as their class officers: President, Maurice Bosseg Vice-President, Elizabeth Hissongg Secretary, Janet Ferrell, Treas- urer, Mary Jane Lightg Student Council Members, Barbara Wittenmyer and James Montgomery. 29
