The Libby High School Band began its 1951-52 sessions under its new director, Mr. Glenn Patton. The band elected officers as follows: President, Dick Riddle, Vice President, Sherrie Belangie, Secretary- Treasurer, Carmen Pondelick. The first public appearnace of the band this year in the newly-purchased uniforms was the Homecoming football game. Other performances included football and basketball games, Hi-Jinx stage show, and the Annual Winter Concert on December 21 and the Spring Concert on May 6. Letters were earned this year on a merit system. Members will be kept busy this summer with a six-week summer band program and high school music camp at Missoula. By the time they finish high school, they should be quite a competent group.
