The TUMBLERS started a new year under the supervision of Miss McCracken, At the first meeting the of- ficers elected were Sherrie Belangie, president, Donna Mertel, vice-president: June Luedecke, secretary- treasurerg and Alice Bowen, point chairman. The TUMBLERS decided to purchase emblems this year and a pin to attach to the emblems for every one- hundred points that were earned. Points are earned by working on committees, attending meetings and practice, and giving public performances, Under the sponsorhip of Miss McCracken the TUMBLERS have been very active and have displayed unusual abilities in tumbling. At the meet- ing Donna Bowen was elected presidentg Shirley Saunders, secretary-treasurer: and Shir- ley Bowen, Student Council representative. Mr. Overby was chosen as sponsor and Ann Seifert and Nancy Bowen as mascots. Mr. Overby was not able to continue so Mr. Pat- ton took charge in his place. During the year the twirlers performed at many of the home games. The routines were made by the members who all worked together. The twirling emblems were bought by many of the members.
