ONS UFFICEII mam' LCPO FCCS CSWJ Brian Cunningham Antioc IL Lieutenant Wiliam T. Rimmer Lieutenant Rimmer was born in Van Nuys, CA and grew up in Katy, TX. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2001 as a Surface Warfare Scholar. Following commissioning, Lieutenant Rimmer attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA where he received a Masters in information systems and operations. He was next assigned to the Division Officer Course at the Surface Warfare Officer School in Newport, RI. In January 2003, he was assigned in USS ARLEIGH BURKE CDDG 515, first as Communications Officer, and then as Strike Officer. Following this tour, LT Rimmer was selected to serve as Flag Aide to Commander Task Force Warrior in Norfolk, VA. Upon completion of his aide tour, Lieutenant Rimmer attended the Naval Command and Staff course at the Naval War College in Newport, RI. As a student he was selected to serve as an associate fellow on the CNO's Strategic Studies Group. Following the fellowship, he returned to the War College and received a Masters in ational Security Studies and completed Joint Professional Military Education Phase l. In May 2008 , Lieutenant, Rimmer reported for his first department head tour as the Weapons Officer in USS LEYTE GULF KCG-55l. His decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards. Lieutenant Rimmer is rnarrietl to the forrrrcr Cathyrn Leigh Janke of Houston, TX. They have three sons. 75
