Their aim is to study the fluent Latin language, to learn of the early Romans, and to study their customs and dress. This club is under the supervision of Miss Ivy Holland. Talented students, the love and fine appreciation of music, and many hours of hard work blend together to yield what is proudly pre¬ sented as the Lexington High School Chorus. Up and down the scale, first singing softly, then building up a crescendo, the chorus breaks forth in clear, bright notes to produce harmonious melodies. Under the skilled direction of Miss Ivy Holland, the LHS Chorus has added much color to our school. D.E. Club The Distributive Education Club, under the direction of Mr. Fred Fiddler, is a co¬ operative part time program organized for the purpose of furthering the abilities of persons who plan to enter the field of distri¬ bution. The different departments of this club have received many honors. The Soil Judging Team, composed of Keith Woods, Lynn Wadley, Lynn Tignor, and Gary Scates, won first place in soil judging in District Eight and placed fourth in the West Tennessee Soil Judging. The Dairy Judgers, Glenn Gamer, Lynn Tignor, and Roger Tart, placed third in District Eight at West Tennessee Dairy Judging at UT Martin. The Livestock Judging Team won second in West Tennessee in Jackson at the West Ten¬ nessee Fair. They moved on to place first in District Eight in West Tennessee ' s Livestock Judging at UT Martin. This team ' s members are Lynn Wadley, Keith Woods, and Wesley Gore. In District Eight ' s Parliamentary Procedure Contest, our F.F.A. officers took third place.
