Ellnnihall LCHS gridiron fortunes showed a decided improvement over the past few seasons, with the Minutemen posting a record of two wins, one tie and five losses. One encouraging feature for future seasons was that a number of freshmen and sophomores played prominent roles in the season's success. Mr. Little, in his first year as coach, fielded an aggressive and well-balanced eleven to represent LCHS. A highlight of the season was a decisive, well-played victory over Cornell, 20-6, in the annual Homecoming festivities. Two players were honored by teammates for their season's play. Ronny Winterland was elected captain, and Fred Dawson was chosen most valuable player. Six lettermen will be lost by graduation: Ronny Winterland, Don Cole, john Hefner, Rodger Paul, Bill Bounds and Tom Weidner.
