Hanna. secretary: Cranford, president, Hirsh. treasurerg Henderson. vice-president. SEllIllIlS After passing through the four stages of a high school career as Freshie, Smartie, Sophisticates and Dignified Senior, we hcpe that we have fulfilled our motto, Service, not serve us. We also chose the carnation as our class flower and the color com- bination of blue and gold. Our high school career started under the lead- ership of Marylyn Lindblade, president, with Dean Stuckey, Dale Hanna and Doris Hirsh assisting. After being successfully launched, we entered our second year skillfully guided by Dean Stuckey, president, with 'Wayne Speak, Gladys Henderson and Doris Hirsh as his capable assistants. Next we entered and claimed our places as jun- iors ably conducted by Gladys Henderson, presi- dent, willingly aided by Ruth Lehman, Dick Cran- ford, and Doris Hirsh. During this year we success- fully introduced the first school prom into L. H. S. Finally we took the position we had all looked forward to occupying. For our senior officers we chose Dick Cranford, president, with Gladys Hender- son, Dale Hanna and Doris Hirsh doing their jobs very efficiently. Of course our success is also due to the willing help given us by our sponsors. Our sponsors the first two and a half years were Miss Knapple and Mrs. Dill, then Mr. Bierhaus replaced Mr. Dills and Mr. Thorpe Joined us for our closing chapter. Under stiff competition from underclassmen, the seniors have taken active and prominent parts in glee club, athletics, F. F. A., Girl Reserves, Spiz and other organizations.
