Cooking is learning how to rely on your own cooking abilities rather than on a Betty Crocker cake mix ... burning at least one “creation” . mixing 4 cups of flour, 1 teasp. of baking soda, 1 teasp. of cinnamon, % teasp. of salt, 1 teasp. of ginger and then finding out it was only 2 cups of flour. Sewing is deciding on the pattern. . . cutting it out. . . basting it . . . sewing the final prod- uct. . . and then finding out it fits!
