A PLACE FOR EVERYONE The High Spot booth at the Senior Class Carnival. 9. L. H. S. students have many varied interests. Junior French class tries French cuisine at Dubarry’s Restaurant in Boston. Their extra time is spent enjoying field trips, sports, class committees, and all-round fun. Everyone can find something of interest in daily school life. It seems that everywhere a student goes, his school activities are sure to follow. Carnival 59 was representative of a high spot of school enthusiasm. Lunchroom Committee members J. Messinger, R. Antonelli, D. Birch and P. Arnold hard at work. Mr. Knight treats his son to cotton candy at the Senior Class Carnival. 20

Directed by Mrs. Sandberger, the senior Lisa Spens, foreign exchange student, wishes the student body a Merry Christmas in Swedish after receiving a gift from Nancy Ingraham on behalf of the Student Council. caroling choir stops to serenade the French classes. At Christmas time, the music department tradition- ally contributes its talent to carry the spirit of the sea- son into our school. An inspiring musical assembly and the seniors caroling in the corridors the day before Christmas vacation serve to further the Christmas spirit. The French classes continuing in the mood of things learn the familiar Christmas carols in French and gaily sing them the week before Christmas. “Trial by Jury,’’ presented by the newly formed Gilbert and Sullivan Society, starred D.
