. LEARNING THE GAME OF LIFE Coaches Knight and Ingraham intently survey Lexing- ton’s progress during the Thanksgiving game. Cheerleader, Joyce Taylor, vivaciously scampers about at the Thanks- giving pep rally, while fellow cheerleader Mary Chicarello portrays one of the football players in a humorous skit. On the Lexington field the Minutemen valiantly oppose the Concord team. 16

In the Power Mechanics Shop Boudy Spiers and George Wilson work industriously while Richard Carlson and Malcolm Graf learn new techniques next door in the wood shop. Classes are, of course, the most impor- tant part of school life. Panels and discus- sions in English and History classes as well as learning by doing in the science depart- ment and typing classes broaden the knowledge of the student at L. H. S. Students suddenly discover that physics class can be entertaining, as they follow the actions of “slinky’’ while discussing the principles of light waves.

Co-captain ‘‘Jumping’’ Jay Jones uses his height to stun the opposing team.
