A Each year the L1-:x1coN staff, on behalf of the student body, welcomes this oppor- tunity to acknowledge the unceasing work of two well-known men in our school system. Mr. L. E. Andrews has administered his duties as superintendent of the city efficiently for twenty-two years. His job includes nearly every phase of activity in each of Lexing- ton's schools. The ability to make wise decisions is one of his attributes which has accounted for the smooth operation of these schools. However, in spite of the number of his responsibilities, he is never too busy to be friendly to any student. This year was Mr. Andrews' first in his office in the new administration building. This brings him closer to Lexington Senior High School, and we are always glad to have him visit this side of the campus. As principal for twelve years Mr. C. E. Wike has earned the love and respect of all former and present students of Lexington Senior High School. Through his efforts each new school year is more successful than the last. His thoughtful study of the needs of our school and its students has brought about constant improvements in every part of the high school program. The school is run democratically with the students participating to a great degree. His concern for and willingness to talk with the individual student has endeared him to us all. Also, we would like to thank the members of the faculty of Lexington Senior High for their dedication to the development of each student into a happy and useful member of society. 7
