COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER Norman R. Somerville Rev. Somerville was born near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, the son of Scotch Presbyterian parents. Left home whena boy and smuggled his way into the United States. Returned to Canada and later enter- ed the United States through proper channels and became a naturalized citizen. Upon coming to the States he decided to enter the ministry. He received his A. B. degree at Muskingum College in 1928, a Bachelor of Divinity from the Graduate of Theology at Oberlin, and the Master of Sacred Theology from the Ashland Theology Seminary in 1939. Rev. Som- erville is currently pastor of the FirstMethodist Church in Galion,where he has served for the past ten years.
