S., way back in 743. QLong time, eh ?j Those dreadful tales QD that were drilled into our innocent minds by the upperclassmen were soon proven false as we became more acquainted with the faculty members. With our class came the new principal, Mr. QDing-Dongj Bell, lVliss Gertrude Morrison, and Mr. Farrar fsigh! sigh!j. It wasn't too long until we found our Way around L. H. S., under the capable guidance of Thurston Thistlewaite, that product of Miss Sieg's imagination. In late November we elected Clovis Baker as president of our class. At mid-term we chose Alice Rice and Bob Knox to the Executive Committee along with Carolyn Black and Jimmy lVIurray as representatives on the Honor Court. On becoming Freshmen, the girls of our group adopted the sophisticated habit of using lipstick. It was only Tangee, Natural! During the term We lost Mary Stuart Brugh and Jack Edgren Chow about that, Anna FJ, but their empty desks were soon occupied by Bessie Bocock and Dick Anderson. You can ask Wiggles about that one. lVhen we became Sophomores, we felt that we were very worldly and sophisticated. We started the year right off by electing Doot Agnor, president, Bessie Bocock and Bob Knox to the Executive Committee. We can't leave out Annette Iannuzzi Cbeginning of her political careerj, and Jimmy Murray, our representatives on the Honor Court. All the girls of our class that year had crushes Cand you couldn't blame themj on the seniors and some Cfewj even managed to date them. Also, with the addition of lVIerl Reese and Jean lVIarshall, lovelight could be seen dancing in the eyes of some of us. In the spring, our class was honored by Ruth Anne and Clovis, having leads in the Mikado September rolled around again and Whadda' ya' know! ! We were Juniors. Changes were taking place rapidly with Miss Clement, Mrs. Hill, and Mr. Lynch coming and Miss Dunlap, Miss Sieg, and lVIr. Farrar going. While speaking of leaving, we all said good-bye to Bessie, didn't we Guy? V Well, once more election time came along and we elected Doot president of our class. Janie and Snap Bean were our delegates to the Executive Committee. Annette Cagainj and Roland represented us on the Honor Court. One of the biggest events in our Junior year was the acquiring of our class rings, but they were seen on fingers of not only L. H. S.' gals, but on persons of neighboring com- munities. Yep!
