They won the Canadian Valley Conference, the Conference Tournament, and the District 15 Championship. They were led by senior Randy Qualls, an All-Conference performer; senior Glen Turner, an All-Conference player; and senior Terry Mixon. Randy was our leading scorer with an average of 20 points. Glen Turner led the team in assists. Terry Mixon was probably the best defensive player on the team. The other two starters were juniors, Steve Stark, who was an All-Conference performer, and Larry Horn. Steve was our leading rebounder and averaged 18 points a game. Larry Horn really improved toward the end of the season and was one of the best shooters that we had. The other younger players that really helped were Randy Simmons, George Clift, Kent Wells, Philip Bennett, and Van Hig- bee. Randy Simmons was the difference in several ballgames. Also, we mustn’t forget George, Philip and Kent, as we are expect- ing great things from them next season. The Bulldogs won their first game in the Regional Tournament but lost in the finals.
