Game two against the Warriors of Wilson began a 3 game winning streak. Because of good offense the Bears crushed the Warriors 34-11. In the next game against Pulaski, even though the Bears went up against a physically bigger team, it was a smashing success with a score of 20-0. This proved to be one of the best games of the season for the mighty team. The ensuing game was against Waynesboro, and even though the team had to travel such a long distance, it was also a victory for the Bears. The final score was 33- 8. For the fifth game the Bears met the Hornets from Hatton, who were undefeated. The mighty team played a good offensive game and Jimmy ran a kick-off back 90 yards for a touchdown, but the Hornets won the bat- tle 25-33. 59 Quarterback Smith Exceeds Uixing on Opponent 3 V 14 Brooks 28 34 Wilson 14 20 Pulaski 0 33 Waynesboro 8 25 Hatton 33 41 Elkmont 16 20 Col. Lexington has helped us stand tall and firm, Through all the things that we are able to learn. We weren’t the first and most likely will not be the last, To graduate from these halls that will forever be in the past. It has helped develop our characters, personalities, goals and aims, Someday we might even have fortune or fame. But whatever the future may hold in store, We owe to LHS much, much more. Now we can face life with greater aspirations, knowledge and hope. And with life, we’ll be able to cope. Lexington has helped us in so many ways. To go through life's problems day after day. Now the race we have finally run. But in reality, we have only just begun. PAT WILSON. POET 129 SENIOR CLASS FLOWER Yellow Rose COLORS Yellow, Green and White MOTTO: We face life with ambitions to succeed. And What Do We Remember? We looked back and remembered the happy times, feeling the rewards of hard work and dedication. At other times we felt all alone, isolated in the midst of a crowd. Our existence was one of constant new beginnings and continuous endings that filled our lives and our memories. It was our year, molded by the vast and diverse character of who we were and had become. Our friends say they’ll keep in touch, but we know they won't. Our teachers say come back and see them. And we know we won’t. Maybe someday it won’t matter. But right now, it hurts a little. 130 Senior Directory RICKY ADAMS - 1 - FFA; 2 - FFA; 3 - FFA; 4 - FFA.
