The Combat Information Center has often been called the nerve-center of the ship, and aptly so. Packed with a maze of electronic equipment and illuminated solely by reflections from the many status boards ringing the bulk- heads, the multi-coloured pinpoints of light and the flare of the radar repeaters give it the appearance of a giant computer humming with activity. Vital to the operation of both the ship and her aircraft, CIC performs countless tasks.
