Tlli -al. 1. - f S THE BEAUTY OF TRUTHS The great and high Biblical truths have always been in the world, and to make these my real concern, has been my chief aim these past few years. Some have said that new associations in the order of ideas is a sign of one grow- ing older. It could also be considered acquired wisdom. These ancient truths which assume a beauty that is new to every student raise our intellectual thought and cause us to pause from time to time to reflect on this fresh light that God has imparted to us. In reflecting upon the past years of associations with Lexington Baptist College I find myself dwelling on the young Christian who had many discourses of certain high ideas that were expressed in the foolish language of her- esy: I did not know about the heresies, nor the orthodoxies. However, in respect to divine things, I have found that they are here and now. There is no day like today. The advantage of this living moment is that we can profit by yesterday's mistakes. So, I feel that this short letter should be dedicated to the teachers that have taught me that the most fatal mistake of all is concentrating on my actions without concentrating on my motives. Indeed, it must have been a laborious task to teach a practical man to throw off the material notions of this present evil world, and to make him realize that the business world is not really the entire world.
