BOYS’ JUNIOR VARSITY BASKETBALL Back row—Gwyn, Frank, Bill, J. D., Max, Charlie, Raymond, William, Jimmy. Front row—David, Stanley, Marvin, Wilbur, Fred, George, Thornton. The Boys’ Junior Varsity Basketball group had a very enjoyable season under the leadership of Mr. McGirt. The Kittens won six and lost six, but the will to win was always there and some of the games were lost by 1 or 2 points. Several of the boys will probably move up and help the big boys try to nail down another county champion- ship next year.

Manager: Dot Moser. Coach: Miss Voss. Though the girls’ team didn’t win a championship trophy, we feel that much was accomplished by them. In conference play they came up with eight wins and seven losses for a .533 score. Improvement was shown as the season progressed. The team hadn’t any one star but showed fine teamwork. Both forwards and guards did a grand job. :

Not pictured—Elizabeth Hutchens. The Girls’ Junior Varsity Basketball Team was very successful this year, winning six out of nine games. They won the western league and had to play Walkertown for the county Junior Varsity Title. They lost that game but both teams showed fine sports- manship. Miss Martha Ann Voss is the coach. Py ee
