A Typical Day In The Crowd The sound of the alarm five days out of seven of the week wasn't enough to get most people out of bed. As the year progressed the nights seemed to grow shorter. Once one entered LHS, the crowds and confusion helped to wake up the bodies. By the time break rolled around most people stood and socialized with their friend or finished up last minute homework. The fastest 30 minutes occurred at lunch. This time was spent for socializing also. Anticipation began during fifth period as the day began to end. Sixth period seemed to be an endless class for at 3:25 the bell toned for the dismissal of school. - Jeanne Rau lf The crowded hallways were usually packed like sardines. Fighting the crowd took more than the allowed time during pass- ing periods. As a result, the time changed from five to seven minutes, causing yet more confu- sion than before. Changing classes was more of a chore than a break.
