fviannerisms and Habits Morris and Damian Drewitz demonstrate the broken rule. Spanheimer, polo shirt. assistant principal, proves that the faculty has class too, by wearing Q 'SN Tim Bosley displays the latest fad t-shirt and the bandana. Q Tonya Seifried indulges in a typical pasttime - sleeping in class. Farmers have always known to be stylish. Polo shirts are worn by hundreds throughout the school. To illustrate the prep look, ban- danas are worn around the heads and necks - that is cool . Farmers also have the best in footwear. From topsiders to Keds ten- nis shoes, you name it, a Farmer has it. Yet even with these fads the Farmers favorite edibles are forbidden this year. Looking around, you will notice a number of students suffering from caffeine withdrawal. The absence of the cola and candy machines resulted in frazzled nerves and unhappy faces. According to the student handbook petting is also strictly forbidden. Yet students are seen sneaking a passionate kiss now and then. Sleeping is also a no-no but most everyone has had a time when they nodded off during a class lecture. These things are part of being a Farmer.

Dressing the Part The way a Farmer dresses determines his personality. For example, the jock wears the typical Nike sports shoes, tight-fitting shirt Cto exhibit musclesl and tight jeans. This guy has the walk of a super cool human being. He is self-assured and confident lperhaps too much sol, His apparel proves he is . . . what else but a jock! . The social is a different story. She could pass as an owner of a small apparel shop. She has so many designer clothes that she cannot remember what she wears from day to day. She must always be involved in everything fer sure. Often, she resembles the famed Valley Girls with her apparent disgust at doing dishes like gross me back to the stone age. lf she misses an episode of Dynasty or General Hospital it is the total crime of the century. Going from one extreme to the other, the bookworm lbrainl is the smart guy who knows EVERYTHING. His out- fit includes the typical hornrimmed glasses, greasy hair and an oxford shirt together with ill-matched pants. He can be seen carrying five or six books and his constant hang-out is the library. The freak , however, is usually located somewhere close to the smoking area. His or her concert t-shirt and jeans, which look as though they are painted on, are certain to set a new style in the future. Dating Farmer Style 1 g Dating a Farmer promises the ultimate in night entertainment. Dallas is the place to go on weekends. But where in Dallas? The answer is the Walnut Hill area. Walnut Hill Lane offers a variety of eateries which serve everything from seafood to Mexican dishes. Two favorites of LHS students are Chi-Chi's and Chile's. Chi-Chi's is considered the best in Mexican food while Chile's serves the greatest chili-topped hamburgers. But beware! Students eating in large numbers may be carried and that can ruin a fun night out. Besides restaurants the Walnut Hill area includes Malibu Gran Prix where you can take a date for a few swings at golf or have a thriller ride on a fast moving go-cart. Movies theaters in the area are also quite popular. , E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial won everyone's heart while An Officer and a Gentleman let you believe in stories with happy endings.
