FOREWOR This 1948 Folio is an interpretation. Through the media of pictures we have tried to sum up life at Lewiston High. We have attempted to give you your class, a very wonderful class, in yearbook form, in order that the memories you have shared with your fellow students may he preserved. It has been a pleasure to put out this yearbook in 1948, when such great strides have been taken to place Lewiston High School at the head of the schools of the State. We wish to thank especially, Miss Madeline Butler for her wise counsel and her kindly words for making this work such a pleasure. We also wish to thank Miss Margaret La- Montagne, Miss Muriel Dumont, and their staffs, for the work they contributed toward the success of this issue. If the contents of these pages will, in years to come, recall to you the memories of pleasant high school days, close friendships, and all that goes into making Lewiston High your Alma Mater in heart as well as in name, this Folio will have achieved its purpose.
