Saorfa Golf Popular Sport Gott proved a popular spring sport at Lewiston Senior High in l952 with some 25 hopeluls turning out in early April competitions under the leadership ot Coach Roy Smith. The boys' squad ot some l2 members opened the season lvlarch 29 at Walla Walla against tour competing clubs. Ladder tourney leaders when the Bengal went to press included Grasser, Torsen and Dahmen. Ladder play was used early in the season to rank players. Not to be outdone by the boys, a dozen coeds grabbed mashies and nib- liclrs to chase the little white ball over the greens and tairways. Sanrio Rocketeers in Hecivy Competition Facing some ot the most rigid tennis competition in the Northwest, the LHS netsters turned in a creditable pertorm- ance tor the l952 season.
